Kevin has spent his career working in Africa, helping companies develop and grow their local businesses. After gaining his BSc Economics, MBA and MSc in Finance from the University of Leicester (England), he moved back to Mauritius and worked for Ernst and Young, Deloitte and KPMG in corporate finance and business consultancy before moving to the pan-African advisory and investment-banking boutique, Loita Capital Partners Group, based in Johannesburg. There he assisted clients with their fundraising activities (in multiple sectors including banking, telecoms, commodities, and logistics) in various countries including Angola, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Tanzania and Zambia.
 
In 2007, Kevin joined the private equity house Actis Capital LLP as part of their Africa Real Estate team. Kevin spent 6 years as a director of Actis Africa Real Estate Fund, the first private equity real estate fund to invest in and develop A-grade properties in SSA. He led the exits of Accra Mall (the first A-grade retail property in Ghana) and Capital Properties (the first A-grade office property in Tanzania) to completion to offshore buyers, setting the benchmark for exits in both West and East Africa. His experience at Actis Capital LLP covered retail, office, mixed use, logistics / industrial and hospitality asset classes.

Since August 2013, Kevin is the founder CEO of African Land Investments which has merged with Atterbury Africa forming AttAfrica Limited based in Mauritius. The company’s objective is to invest in retail centres/malls across key countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. Its portfolio currently consists of Manda Hill Shopping Centre, the biggest retail in Lusaka (Zambia), Accra Mall, the biggest retail in Accra. In addition, the portfolio consists of 3 malls under constructions in Ghana. Kevin also sits on various boards of companies such as Blue Life Ltd, a listed property company on the Mauritius Stock Exchange and 2 Centara hotels in Mauritius
